About Washington

Washington state has historically leaned blue. They have voted Democratic in the past five general elections. Both senators are Democrats, as are seven out of their ten representatives. They have mandatory mail-in voting across the entire state. All registered voters don't declare their party affiliation. Washington's biggest cities lie in their lowlands (central Washington) and that region is what makes up the majority of the Democratic vote. Interestingly, in Washington state, it is a misdemeanor to walk about in public if you have a common cold.
